MBFWA

While the internet has been saturated with snaps from MBFWA, here are some few, very few photos from my camera. To be honest, I was very disappointed this year at some of the designs. And to put it mildly, the amount of unoriginal, recycled ideas seen on the catwalk was uninspiring. I mean, you know it happens but really? This wasn’t the only thing I found disappointing during our week at MBFWA. I have never seen before the most unorganised PR front of house team, where I witnessed people sneaking into shows (when they weren’t supposed to), grabbing every goodie bag available after the show and kicking off celebrities so that they can sit in front row. Massive face palm! Whatever, but the overall atmosphere of any fashion week, always leaves me inspired and excited for the release of collections that I fell completely in love with. Alice McCall I’m looking at you!

Up your nail game
Do something different every once in a while, entertain yourself.
Don’t know where to start? Try this simple D.I.Y for starters.
What you’ll need:
2 shades of nail polish, base, top coat (optional), scissors, tape

American Apparel -Army Jacket, Stylenanda - 3 Concept Eyes Inglot - O2M Breathable Base, Sally Hansen - Diamond Flash top coat
Step 1: Apply base coat and apply your first chosen nail polish.

Step 2: When your first coat is thoroughly dry, cut a piece of tape diagonally and stick it where you want your first shade to show. *make sure your first coat is completely dry. The tape will smudge it otherwise.

Step 3: Take your next colour and apply this straight over the top. Let this dry.

Step 4: When all is dry, peel off the tape slowly and apply a top coat.

Then you’re DONE! Easy and simple. This is only one of the many ways you can use tape to change up your nails .. experiment!

LAST DAY OF SUMMER

It wasn’t long until we headed back to one of our favourite newfound beaches. Tomorrow, daylight savings ends which means long summer days are temporarily gone. So it was only necessary that a day trip out of the city was needed.

ROAD TRIP: MORNINGTON PENINSULA

Coming back from overseas and settling back home is always daunting. We’ve pushed ourselves to see more of Australia now, so we can appreciate more of home and stop whinging about not being overseas.
